Jodie Atkinson

Jodie Atkinson is a Certified Advanced Grief Recovery Specialist®, Licensed Grief First Aid™ Instructor, speaker, author and cabaret artist. She works with people through all kinds of loss, not just death: separation, illness, career change, estrangement and more, online or in person around Adelaide. Her book, Have You Met My Grief?, became an award-winning cabaret show at the 2023 Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Festival, and she’s heard on Coast FM every month.

Jodie came to me ready for a new direction. She was moving into new areas of the grief space, and her old website couldn’t keep up: it tried to cover everything at once, and the way forward for a visitor wasn’t clear.

She wanted a brand new look and feel: modern and fresh, but soft and inviting, so people arriving in a hard moment feel welcome straight away. Just as important was a logical path through the site, so visitors find the right help without having to work it out.

So we started fresh, with the new site built around what she does: grief support and education. Her Grief Recovery Method program, Grief First Aid training for workplaces, her new Reclaiming You program, and her book and cabaret each have a clear home, written in her own warm, plain voice.

Speaking became a major page in its own right, with a looping video showreel, so anyone looking for a speaker knows straight away that’s what she does.
